Wagner's European Bakery and Cafe

I went there for a birthday party cake and it was absolutely phenomenal I'm not going to lie the price is a little high thank your other small local Bakery but it's absolutely worth every single penny you pay. I am very grateful with them they received my order with with less than 24 hours in my cake was ready to go to say the next day!! Thank you ❤

Wagner's has the best pastries and cakes ever! Lunch always comes with a little piece of dessert... Nice finish without a big dessert. Love their cream horns and their cakes are divine... chocolate cake with raspberry filling and butter cream frosting... oh my!

I've been going to Wagners since the 80s and have always loved it - still do. Unfortunately, their service has really suffered. The last couple times the young ladies at the front counter are just down right rude. Very unfortunate.

It's kind of wheelchair accessible. The only wheelchair accessible table was taken when I went. So Susan rearranged things and brought me a table and chairs for my Husband and guest! They were SO CARING! The food also is VERY delicious. Definitely a go to on my next trip!

Lovely little bakery and cafe. We stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up. Enjoyed the Bavarian cream donut and apple-almond cinnamon rolls with coffee and hot cocoa. We also snagged a loaf of cinnamon roll bread to make french toast with the next day. A local customer recommended it, and we were not disappointed.

Always wonderful! Lots of marvelous pastry, donuts but great bread n rolls too. A must drop by when in the area.

Perfect lunch spot with room to sit and eat or pick up to go. Fresh tasting sandwiches and everything in the menu “comes with a treat” and who can say no to an adorable piece of cake served with your lunch?? 😉😜 Besides sandwiches, the cinnamon bread here is a must-have and I always grab a loaf to go. It basically tastes like a sliced up cinnamon roll and is one of my all time favorites. They also have cookies, pastries, cakes and more.

This was probably the best breakfast in the whole Pacific West trip. The food was super delicious, the stuff were super caring and friendly. I felt homely. I would definitely recommend this place, at least for breakfast. They have super delicious desserts too! If you are lucky, you might get a free parking spot already paid by someone else, lol!

They always have fresh baked goods! We've tried quite a few and have been more than happy each time! The staff are all really friendly, and are quick to help you! Super clean on the inside, and everything was very affordable!

It's been while since I visited a nice deli. A genuine relaxed full service deli selling an assortment of cakes, pastries, and of course sandwiches. However, I did find my bread to be a bit thin, as in squished to paper width, most likely by the grill press but it still tasted great. The bike rack outside was also nice to see.

Pricey but quaint and homey

I’ve never been disappointed in their cakes, pastry, sandwiches or anything else. Great value too. Two of us shared the apple strudel with coffee and it was great - the apples were so moist and sweet and the pastry flakey, even though it was late Sunday afternoon.

Great pastries though sometimes slightly undercooked. Why have product on the shelf that's 2 months old though? Very odd....

Wagner's is a tradition in Olympia, but it did not hit the mark today. Service was so-so at best, and food was mediocre. The gal taking orders got them all confused. Adding one more cup of soup to the order at the end seemed quite challenging. The bakery treats looked amazing, but we did not indulge. Yummy treats has been a consistent trademark of Wagner's, but their charm and good customer service is missing.

I would always get my daughter her favorite cake here every year for her birthday since she was little. She is passed now but her sister and I will maintain that tradition. I Miss you Abbigael. Padre Loves you.

Best donut of my life! Price is a bit high but, can't complain when it's homemade!!

A great little European cafe right in the heart of town. We love to frequent their stand at the farmers market too, but their cafe is so spacious and has such a huge selection too, we enjoy it every time we go in. The old-fashioned scone and strawberry rhubarb tart were fantastic this morning!

TREATS! TREATS! TREATS! of all sorts & size! From the freshest macaroons I have ever had to the biggest flat cinnamon bread that my daughter has ever seen! All delicious. We took home a few more treats... Berry bar & lemon macaroons were loved by all!

Food amazing, sweet and. harming. use to visit owner when he was still with us each time we had lunch there. alway the best ladies behind counter. love this place!

Great variety of baked goods. Very clean, friendly, quick service. However, parking a bit of an issue. I had Triple Berry Bar, very good!

No parking or very little near by. Old building that is not handicap friendly. Five steps up to restrooms, two steps down to seating area. Sandwiches ok, clam chowder was very good. On the plate you are given some fruit and a small 1 inch square piece of cake which was a nice surprise rather than a bag of chip. Service was quick and friendly.

Friendly Service, delicious food. I was super happy to see marbled rye, I find it rarely on the West Coast. The small piece of carrot cake with the sandwich was a wonderful surprise. I definitely will be back.

Great cinnamon bread to take away. Better buy a second loaf to put in the freezer.

The food here is amazing! Their pastries are divine. Great place for lunch, meetings, coffee and if you are craving something sweet! Close to the capital building also.

I have enjoyed their baked goods for several years. However, last time I bought a Black Forest cake for about $45.00, I was very disappointed. It was not like all the ones I have enjoyed over the years. This cake, introduced in a new recipe due to the rapidly rising costs in Washington state, is like so many other familiar items. The prices are increasing, & the sizes are decreasing so often, it's a neverending process. Do you remember when prices remained stable for around a year, and only increased prices a few percent?

When you find a good pastry bakery, you really gotta hang on to it. I use Wagner's as meeting place, it is well-suited and perfect for a light treat. But I also stop by when I'm in the area. A great variety of fresh excellent pastries, but it also has sandwiches, etc.Parking is a little dicey but you can find something in a block or two. Oh, and the Capitol grounds are just around the corner.

Great bakery! We wanted to try the gourmet sandwiches there. Couldn't though, they ran outa bread by 5pm.

Excellent European bakery. Wonderful place to stop by for pastries. I would love to buy one of their cakes sometime. They look spectacular. Staff person was friendly and explained what each thing tastes like. There are actually a couple parking spots reserved for customers that I didn’t know about until I walk around the side of the building. I will remember that for next time.

My daughters birthday cake was soooo beautiful and it was just like the picture we showed them!! The cake was fresh and made with quality ingredients. The cake was so gorgeous I didnt want to cut it.
